Do You Have Swine Flu? What About Pigs?

One thing is very clear, the swine flu pandemic is spreading. The main questions being out there are: Do you have swine flu? How serious is the pandemic? And what about pigs? Given the latest news, the World Health Organization confirmed that swine flu cases are now reported in 11 countries , confirmed in 257 people world-wide (up until 30 April 2009). The WHO raised its six-tier alert to five (5) which means countries should be implementing mass safety measures quickly. It is also possible according to the organisation that the Swine Flu, could be the first influenza pandemic since 1968 which devastated millions.

Countries are taking the swine flu very seriously, Fort Worth, Texas, closed 144 public schools with 80,000 students after one child came down with swine flu. And as many as 400,000 pigs are being slaughtered in Egypt. This brings up another question? Is the swine flu infections in people related to pigs?Is pork safe to eat?The full story and answers to these and more questions about this strain of flu can be found here http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601085&sid=a69eUUDfex30&refer=europe

SO! What's the next step, while countries take their preventative measures, there is no reason why surgical mask manufacturers are working over time other than we should by no means be without one at this time.
