Today is 5 de Mayo Celebration!

Today (Hoy)is (es) Cinco de Mayo! Not the official independence day of Mexico, but it represents the day in 1862,when Mexico city was successfully defended by a small Mexican army against France. Here is a delicious Margarita recipe you can get started with right away:

Margarita
Take a cocktail glass and rub the lime wedge around the rim, dip rim in the salt.
1 1/2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Lime Juice or Sweet & Sour
Bar Salt

Garnish - Lime Squeeze
In a shaker with ice combine Tequila, Triple Sec, & Lime Juice. Shake well a strain into the cocktail glass.
On the Rocks - Fill a salted bucket glass with ice. Build this 'Maggie' right in the glass.
Frozen Margarita - Blend ingredients with a scoop of ice, serve in a salted large stem 'Margarita' glass. Frozen Fruit Margaritas can be made by adding a scoop of fresh fruit (strawberries, peaches, pineapples, etc.)

Chicken of the Sea jingle

When I think of all the varieties of tuna Chicken of the Sea cases out, it makes me want to dance! Jingle or no Jingle, but it all came to a head on the Celebrity Apprentice when song writer/singer, Clint Black and poker player, Annie Duke went head to head for their charities. In this week's episode, their Jingle! writing skills were put to the test for Chicken of the Sea. Annie lead team Athena to victory. Needless to say, I think Clint Black is an excellent song writer. And what! If Annie puts out an Albulm after this! Would you be surprised?!

American Idol Tragedy

Remeber David Cook? Duh! He's a great artist. (BUT) As much as we watch American idol for the fan-“fair” race to success, last year’s American Idol winner, David Cook, took on a race of his own in which he excelled through his personal tragedy and came out as a hero to many. On Sunday Morning, May 3rd, David Cook served as grand marshal of Washington, D.C’s 12 annual Race for Hope 5k, despite the death of his older brother, Adam Cook the day before. Adam passed away at age 37 after battling with a brain tumor. Cook’s team was the leading fundraiser for the event, raising over $95,000.00.

It has been quite a big weekend for Hanna Montana and David Archuleta , yup! It was all about the world premier of their new song I Wanna Know You. American Idol’s David Archuleta and Miley Cirus as Hanna Montana teamed up for this one and made a great duet, you gotta here it! Bringing the song in to the spotlight, over the weekend ,Saturday, May 2 at 6:00pm., ET/3:00 p.m, PT , when Radio Disney presented the world premier of the new tune during its Planet Premiere feature.
